This week Lynda speaks with Dr. Carol Dimopoulos of Learning Journeys. Carol has a unique background which bridges the tourism sector and academia. In her professional role she serves as CEO and founder of Learning Journeys, a company focused on global learning programs through a concept known as “The Traveling Classroom”. The organization focuses on incorporating education into the global travel platform as well as creating social tourism exchanges which create economic opportunity for developing societies. Through her global exposure, she discovered what drives human empowerment at a core level.
Her academic background includes over 11 years of experience teaching in the online learning environment in the capacity of adjunct business instructor at The State University of New York, Empire State College. She is an alumni of Empire State College, where she earned a B.S. in Cultural studies. She also holds an MBA in strategic management from Sage Graduate School and a doctorate from The University of Illinois Urbana Champaign in Global Education and Leadership.
