I was reminded this week to not readily accept rejection too quickly. Referencing my success story involving the University of NotreDame and more recently, a recent speaking rejection, I made a second attempt at pursuing an assignment I would very much enjoy having. Second and third effort does not always work, but stopping prematurely never works. As a famous hockey player once reminded us, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” (Wayne Gretzky)
